‘Meals on Wheels’ Initiative
May 2021: On May 2, 2021, the Avoidable Deaths Network (ADN) launched Meals On Wheels to combat starvation in Odisha’s Kandamahal district during India’s COVID-19 surge. The initiative raised £1,255 in the UK and INR 19,100 in India.
With these funds, ADN’s India Hub, led by OSVSWA, distributed 821 food parcels across 18 villages from July 2-5, 2021, supporting vulnerable tribal communities. More information can be found here.
